“Dear Kelly, I wanted to write to you and say how much my father and I have appreciated the great care and service that your agency has provided my mother over the last year. My mother became one of your clients in November 2022 and was helped every day by your caring team. Initially, K. visited with me and helped me understand the various services you provide. She was so helpful and considerate and seemed to understand how overwhelming taking care of an elder can be. We signed-on for 3 times a week shower and grooming care for B.. This soon turned into shower/grooming every day of the week. V. was the caregiver for many months and mother loved her so much!! After V. moved to the office duties, M. became her daily care-giver and mother really enjoyed seeing and visiting with her every day. M. did extra things like making sure she was lotioned well every day and blow drying her hair! Mother considered her a true friend ! Once Mom needed someone to start sitting with her at night, we were even more grateful for sweet employees that sat patiently and lovingly with her such as L., M., and S.. I know there are others that substituted for the regulars that were kind and considerate as well, and of course M. has always been gracious and prompt with any needs or requests for which we asked. We are sad that B. has declined so much that we needed to find a place for her away from home, but we are grateful for this last year and the sincere, caring people that helped us keep her at home. “Always Best Care was able to provide us with emergency help less than 24 hours after we called and we are eternally grateful for their ability to move fast. We needed help with my 90 year old father-in-law who was in home hospice and my 89 year old mother-in-law with onset dementia. All of the caregivers that they sent were wonderful, caring, honest and hardworking individuals. They helped us taking care of my in-law’s personal needs, house cleaning, laundry and providing the family with guidance on what we could expect with a patient on hospice. More than anything, their experience and assistance gave us, the family members, a sense of calmness knowing we could take care of our family members in their own home as they wished. After going through the death of someone in home hospice, we found out that there really is a lot more to this type of care than just providing for a patience’s basic needs.
