Barbara Durham

Operations Manager/ Alt Administrator

Barbara is a graduate of Texas Tech University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.

Barbara has over 21 years in the Health Care profession, experiencing in Case Management, Office Management, Director of Hospital Admissions, and Marketing. Barbara resides in Prosper, TX and is happily married to her husband, Sean. They have 4 beautiful children, Jamal, Devon, Tenae, and Myah. Their oldest son, Jamal is attending medical school at the University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio. And their oldest daughter Tenae, will be attending her Freshman year at the University of Arkansas in the fall of 2018 in hopes to become a Registered Nurse. They too share her passion of giving back and being an advocate to improve population health outcomes.

Neeva Shrestha

Finance Specialist

Neeva is a native Austinite who also graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology. She is a huge animal lover and enjoys hiking as well as kayaking with friends and family. She also has a passion for cooking and loves learning new recipes to cook for her friends and family.

Tisha Perdue

HR Recruiter

Tisha has been working at Always Best Care since 2017. She has been working with the elderly for the last 6 years. Starting as a caregiver at an Assisted Living Facility, she worked her way up to Care Manager. She found great satisfaction in taking care of others, and has since then taken great pride in ensuring each client has the best care. She looks forward to helping you and your family get the care they deserve.

In her free time she enjoys time with her two amazing children Jacob and Alyssa, riding her bike on the local trails, singing karaoke, and spending time with family and friends.

Denise Stock

Staffing Manager

Denise has completed courses through the Department of Aging and Disability in the State of Texas for Alternate Administrator. She also was a Medical assistant for many Doctors from UTSW Medical School in Dallas.

She has dedicated 12 years in Personal Assistant Services for the Elderly. She literally went full circle in the industry having experience in every position from Administration, marketing, staffing, billing, and payroll. All the time caring for an elderly parent in her home for 17 years.

Denise loves people, and loves caring for everyone. She is an active grandmother and wife who spends her spare time feeding and clothing those less fortunate. She works with two non-profit organizations providing Hope for those in need. Her hobbies include sewing, quilting, and camping with her family.

Tynisha Bennett

Office Coordinator

Tynisha joined Always Best Care in 2018. She is originally from the Midwest, but has resided in Dallas for the last 12 years. Tynisha has over 19 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry. She started as a caregiver working with individuals with special needs. Tynisha has also held positions in Case Management, Human Resources, Office Administration and has worked as an Area Director over a Residential Service Program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Tynisha has a passion for helping others and receives satisfaction from knowing each day she has made a difference in someone’s life. In her spare time Tynisha enjoys spending time with her son, Christopher.

Joni Hamric

Care Coordinator-Marketing

Joni was born in Salina, Kansas at Smokey Hill Air Force Base. After spending much of her younger years moving, her family settled in Abilene, TX, where she met her future husband. After graduating High School, Joni attended San Angelo State University and earned an A.D.N. in Nursing. With over 20 years of nursing and health care sales experience, Joni has constantly adhered to a philosophy of “patient-first”. In 2015, Joni was married in Las Vegas to her childhood sweetheart, Dusty. Joni has two step-children, ages 23 and 25 and one granddaughter along with numerous nieces and nephews. When Joni isn’t working, she enjoys reading, going to concerts and shopping.

Kelly Shaine

Care Coordinator-Marketing

Kelly joined our team in 2019 and has lived in Keller TX since 1998.
Kelly has raised two sons who have both graduated from Keller High School and UT.

Her education background includes a degree in Nursing with a minor in Psychology. Out of college she has spent 15 years in the medical field as a nurse working mainly in Internal Medicine and Oncology.

Kelly also has extensive experience with Mortgage Finance Sales and Marketing and holds a current Federal and State license. In the slow seasons of Mortgage, Kelly has worked as a Fitness Director and Personal Trainer.

She has a passion for Health, Nutrition, Fitness, and elevating the overall quality of life for others. In her spare time she loves spending time with family, friends, dance class, performing, and her doggies.

Elisa “Elise” Rene Carrillo

Staffing Coordinator

Elise has been with Always Best Care since 2013. She has one son named Lincoln and enjoys spending time with him on her off days. Before Always Best Care, she was a Caregiver/Med Tech in an Assisted Living Facility. Elise found peace helping seniors, many of them she worked directly with and some she didn’t. But, their wisdom of life helped mature her and remains in her heart. Elise has a true passion with matching caregivers and clients together and takes great pride in finding that perfect match. She loves being there for Seniors and their families when they are faced with a difficult time in their life or when they might need help transitioning into needing additional care.

Shantel “Shay” Smith

Shantel has over 10 years experience providing care to the elderly. Working in the Assisted Living and Senior Living facilities has brought a wealth of knowledge and compassion when it comes to understanding the individual care needs of our clients.
She enjoys cooking, hunting, and spending time with her family.

Teresa Battle

Scheduling Manager

Teresa is originally from Ohio bringing 23 years of Healthcare Experience with Geriatric, Alzheimer, Dementia, Special needs and Hospice care clients. This passion has promoted Teresa to complete an Associate’s degree while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management in order to add knowledge so she may provide better services to the clients and families she staffs. Caring for the elderly has always been her passion driving her to go above and beyond to assure the clients and families will have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are loved and cared for.

Mindy Guzman

Scheduling Manager

Mindy Guzman is a native of Lubbock who recently relocated to the DFW. She has joined Always Best Care as a Scheduling Manager. Mindy plans to use her 7 years of healthcare and in-home care scheduling to accomplish her mission of taking Always Best Care to the highest level of scheduling that is possible for A++ in-home care. Mindy is an old soul and has a passion for the elderly and providing the best care possible to people who are in their most vulnerable stage of life, which is why she is able to enjoy and further improve in-home care businesses. Mindy is also a HUGE lover of dogs and has four fur babies of her own. In Mindy’s free time you can find her with her four dogs (Quentin Tarantino, Ellen, Annie, and Princess Buttercup), fostering more dogs for local rescues, reading a book, or listening to a good podcast. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, as well as, her family.

Attiyah Hameen

Administrative Assistant

Having worked as a receptionist/ administrative assistant, Attiyah is simultaneously continuing her education to obtain her BSBC {Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry) degree. Her ultimate goal is to become a Medical Doctor, specializing in Pediatrics.

Attiyah enjoys caring for children, as they are the future. In her spare time, Attiyah enjoys seeing new movies, traveling the world, and spending time with loved ones.
