Meet the Team
Jim Bechtold, CSA, CDP & Christi Bechtold, CSA
Administrator, Non-Medical Division & Administrator, Skilled Home Health Care Division
Jim and Christi began ABC of Greater Cleveland, Inc on 8/22/2008-which also happened to be their 21st wedding anniversary. Strong faith, life experiences and compassion lead them to their mission statement to “Make a difference in people’s lives”
Jim, the “People Person”: President/CEO and administrator of the Non-Medical Division. “I have the pleasure of working with both our care staff and meeting one on one with existing and potential clients. I discuss, analyze and prioritize their individual requirements and then provide the best, most appropriate care solutions to meet their specific needs. It’s important everyone knows they DO have choices in care”.
When not at the office, we’re intrepid travelers who prefer going “off the beaten path” looking for adventure and crossing things off our “bucket list”. We enjoy RV’ing, hiking, kayaking or just hanging out spoiling their 5 grandkids and their miniature schnauzer, and office mascot, Bentley.
Lisa joined the staff at ABC in 2009 as a receptionist. Her compassion and the dedication of servant hood within the community. She became the staffing/care coordinator in 2010 and was promoted to Office Manager in 2011. Her responsibilities include processing all government, third-party and private duty invoicing and receivables, obtaining and maintaining all proper authorizations and certifications-regardless of payer source for both our Non-Medical and Home Health Care Division.
“My high-school sweetheart husband Brain and I recently completed building a new home. I’m a proud mother of 4 adult children, including twin boys and a proud grandmother of 3; the most recent-fraternal twins and one of my daughter-in-laws just announced she’s pregnant!”
Bonnie Diller, RN, BSN
Assistant Director of Clinical Services
I’m a registered nurse who oversees all patient care and clinical services in both our Non-Medical and Skilled Home Health Care Divisions. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I was a Cum Laude graduate and a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society. I bring over 12 years of acute care knowledge in skilled nursing facility and home health care settings with a focus in health care management.
When not taking care of our patients, or my husband, I’m busy taking care of a large menagerie of animals and leading my 4-H group “The Farmtastics 4-Hers of Lorain County”.
Michelle Colyer, LPN
I handle all intake referrals, insurance verifications, physicians contact and clinical staff scheduling in our Home Health Care Division. I stated my career path as a state tested nursing assistant for a hospice agency in 2003 and became an LPN in 2006. In addition to strong documentation skills, a “must have” characteristic in home care, I bring years of clinical knowledge with a concentration in behavioral and Alzheimer’s care.
I spend my spare time driving back and forth to visit my son who is pursuing a business management and marketing degree. I also handle home repairs partnering with my parent’s on several investment properties.
VP of Sales and Marketing
I obtained a BS in Allied Health with a major in Biomedical Communications from The Ohio State University’s School of Medicine. My responsibilities include regular weekly visits to referral sources and personally meeting and reviewing services with perspective clients. In addition I also participate in various community outreach events and fundraisers.
My husband and I are currently living our lives around our 2 sons, both of which are very active in sports and other extracurricular activities.
Staffing Coordinator/On Call
My primary responsibility is to interview and orient our caregivers, match them with our clients and establish schedules for our Non-Medical Division. I accomplish this by carefully matching our client’s individuals care needs with our care staff’s skill set, specialized training, availability and geographical location. With technology assistance from our staffing software I maintain our Non-Medical staff of 70 employees, all our clients, an ever-changing schedule and census and “controlling the chaos” of approximately 1,300 hours of Non-Medical private-duty care per week.
When not in front of a computer or on the phone, my “other” life is mostly devoted to her high-energy, athletic-minded teenage daughter and settling into a new condo.
I started in spring 2016 as a home health aide. My background includes years of driving a school bus, an active EMT and various office administrative duties. When an office position became available late in the year, I applied and was promoted to the position. My primary responsibilities include directing incoming calls, processing employee applications, maintaining personnel files, care staff documentation, CEUs and assisting Erica with staffing cases, care coordination and customer service.
A country girl at heart, my husband, daughter and I maintain a small farm complete with 6 miniature horses, 2 HUGE Percheron draft horses, a pinto gelding, ducks, chickens, 5 dogs and 7 cats. I also have an adult daughter and adult son who have given me 4 grandkids.
Bentley Von Schnauzer
Office Mascot, Greeter
I started with the agency in August 2014. I was just a pup… literally! My responsibilities include greeting the mailman, UPS and FedEx people. I make sure they deliver treats for me when they deliver packages for everyone else. I also watch for any food that may hit the floor. When I’m not cat napping (pun intended) I’m running from desk to desk just looking for some attention (or treats).
When not at the office I’m with Jim and Christi… somewhere. Life is good … ALWAYS!
