Wonderful time at Bernards Township Safe Trick or Treat!
Happy Halloween!! We could not have asked for a better day on Saturday, October 28 for witches, Harry Potters, Tiggers, and Minnie Mouses to safely trick or treat in beautiful downtown Basking Ridge. Greg and I enjoyed the weather, chatting with all the local parents, and passing out candy to the adorable (and sometimes scary!) trick or treaters. A big thank you to the Bernards Township Chamber of Commerce for continuing to organize this event every year and to all the Chamber members who, by participating, make this such a successful event.
Food Drive to Support the Food Bank Network of Somerset County
Join Greg and Robin LaVersa from Always Best Care Basking Ridge in our efforts to support our local community. As we approach the final two months of 2017, please take time to think about those who have had a difficult year. A great way to help the people who are in need of the very basics of life is to support the local entities that provide aid to our neighbors. We are inviting you to help the hungry right here in Somerset County. All you need is access to the internet and a willingness to help. You can shop right online and the items will be delivered right to the door of the Food Bank Network of Somerset County. It’s that easy and it makes a huge difference. The families in our County will greatly appreciate your donation. Thank you in advance for your kindness ….just click below.
Thank You For Your Support
As many of you know, Always Best Care of Basking Ridge hosted a food drive to benefit the Food Bank Network of Somerset County. We reached out to friends and people in our community and we were blessed by the response. Our drive raised over 300 food items and a donation for $1,000 plus a company match for the same amount. A wonderful success!
Greg paid a visit to the FBN of Somerset County to find out what more we could do. Marie, the director at the Bound Brook location, was thrilled and so appreciative of our efforts and looks forward to any and all continued support from all the generous surrounding communities. Without their support, the food bank could not continue with its mission to provide food which currently supports 1,400 families, including 750 kids in 11 County schools. Marie is grateful for donations at any time, but told Greg that their most challenging time of year is late Winter into Spring so there is always a right time to donate!
Thank you all for your support! We will continue to support the Food Bank Network of Somerset County and hope that you will continue to join us on future food drives.
