Oh my goodness! I was at the very bottom of my rope with no where to turn. Almost overnight, my mom went from being totally independent to needing assisted living, and I didn't know where or how to even start. The hospital was breathing down my neck to get her out of there, and I had nowhere to take her. I couldn't provide the care she needed at home. Then a friend sent me a copy of Shawn Cothran's business card. She said he could help. Shawn called me when I was at my lowest point. He offered me hope with the possibility of placement the same day or next for my mom. By that afternoon, we had signed a contract and placed a bed in mom's new home. The next day, she moved in to a very nice, beautiful and caring community. I will be forever grateful to Always Best Care Senior Services and Shawn!!

My mom was diagnosed with dementia more than 4 years ago. She functioned well at first but as time went on, she needed some help. She was still living in her home and had the ladies of Always Best Care there twice a day to get her out of the house or to help with reminders or daily living. Once it became clear that she needed more assistance, I moved mom to an assisted living facility where she had a small apartment and could still be independent. That move happened almost two years ago. I kept my sweet ABC ladies and they still come in for a few hours to keep mom active. Over the last two years, I have seen many of the sweet older people at the assisted living facility pass on or move to memory care. My mom has sat with 8 ladies at the same table for most of the time she has been there. Mom and one other lady are the only two who are still in assisted living. I credit that with mom’s tenacious spirit and the sweet ladies with ABC. They have mom knitting, exercising, walking, working puzzles and playing the piano. All of the ladies have made a huge difference in mom’s life. Now, the sweet ladies include the ladies behind the scenes at ABC. Stephanie has always been an ear for me and supportive of my care plan for mom. Hannah, and now Toni, always act quickly for me when I need a change in schedule or need more help. Toni is encouraging and very easy to work with. I cannot thank ABC enough in all that they do for me and my mom.
