John, Wendy, & Danielle

Owners

John, Wendy, and Danielle started this business as a result of their experience as a family with Home Care. As a family, we saw a real need to provide a trustworthy resource in the senior community. John ran and owned Service Oil Company for over 30 years, Wendy has been a caregiver her entire life, and Danielle has worked in the Adult and Children’s protective service field for 8 years. This is a journey we wanted to take as a family, so we could offer families support, resources, and the compassionate care in their time of need. We are blessed to be in the senior community and to work alongside all of the great community senior resources.

Mike Marchi

Client Service Director

My name is Mike Marchi and I am the Client Service Director for Always Best Care Michiana. I have worked in the Healthcare Industry for over thirty-five years. My experience includes medical equipment management, sales and marketing, physician liaison, account representative to name a few. I am a Mishawaka native and graduated from Mishawaka High School. I received my BS in Business and Marketing from Indiana University South Bend.

Taysha Gipson

Lead Scheduler

My name is Taysha Gipson and I am the Lead Scheduler at Always Best Care Michiana. I have been working in the medical field for over ten years. I began as a billing and patient financial services representative and eventually progressed to the office manager of a Federally Qualified Health Care Center. I have an Associate degree in Pre-law and Communication from Goshen College; and I am currently working towards obtaining my BS in Health Information Management from
Indiana Tech. I am excited to work for Always Best Care Michiana and appreciate the care and services that they provide for the Senior Citizen community. I am passionate about making a difference in the life of others and look forward to working with the clients and caregivers at Always Best Care Michiana.

Dawn Poindexter

Recruiter

My name is Dawn Poindexter and I am the Recruiter for Always Best Care Michiana. I started my career in the HealthCare field at a young age as a CNA. After pursuing another career path, I realized my heart was with helping the elderly. I then began a career working with mentally challenged adults as a Group Home Manager. I soon began working with a home care agency as a Scheduling Coordinator and a Licensed CPR Instructor. I received my BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Administration.

Patti Vandergrift

Community Liaison

My name is Patti Vandergrift and I am the Community Liaison for Always Best Care Michiana. I have worked in the healthcare field for several years. I most recently served as Director of Business Development for a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. I received my BS in Business Management from Bethel College and my Masters in Public Affairs with a Health Care Concentration from Indiana University. My hobbies include camping, traveling, scrapbooking, and going to the beach. One of my greatest joys is spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren.

Becki Karczewski

Administrative Assistant

My name is Becki Karczewski and I am the Administrative Assistant with Always Best Care Michiana. I received my BS in Business from Indiana University South Bend with concentration in Human Resources/Labor Relations and Business Administration. I was most recently employed as the Human Resources Director for a Continuing Care Retirement Community. I enjoyed working with both the staff and residents.

Nichole Crowder

Scheduler

My name is Nichole Crowder. I am a Scheduler with Always Best Care Michiana. I began my career in the medical field in 2014 providing Hospice care to Seniors. I joined the Always Best Care Team as a Caregiver and transitioned into the Scheduling department. I enjoy working for a family-based company while giving back to the community and helping others in need.
