Yes. We do all that we can at Always Best Care to reassure families that their loved ones are in safe hands with our caregivers, and one small part of making them feel this way is by ensuring that all of our staff are fully insured and bonded. This protects any seniors in our home care in San Mateo against any theft or damage in their own property.
We also off complimentary Worker's Compensation for all of our staff so that if they do suffer any injuries while performing their caring duties, our insurance will cover any claims for damages.
Vetting plays a vital role in ensuring that we can offer the most reliable senior care in San Mateo, so we have a dedicated recruitment team in place to make sure that our vetting is as thorough as it can be.
Along with the usual job interviews and conversations with references, each applicant that applies for a role with Always Best Care also has to pass a criminal background check and a random drug test before they'll be offered a position with the company.
24/7. Yes, our caregiving services are available every second of every day, so you can pick and choose what time your loved one needs assistance without having to worry about whether or not we'll be available.
On top of this, our in-home care in San Mateo is open all year round, so it doesn't matter whether it's a sunny Monday morning in June or an overcast Christmas afternoon, your loved one can get the help they need and deserve.
Yes. We feel that it's important that a caregiver and a senior have the time to build a relationship. If a senior can learn to trust the person responsible for their home care in San Mateo, the whole experience can turn into something positive.
Sometimes, if a senior requires care at various times over the course of 24 hours, more than one caregiver will become responsible for looking after them on a daily basis.
If your loved one's caregiver becomes ill or takes some time off to go on vacation, we can arrange a substitute caregiver in short notice to take over in their absence. Please be assured that any substitute will be fully briefed in every aspect of your loved one's care, so any changeover will run smoothly.
We don't just match your loved one to a caregiver on a hunch, we actually take the time to get to know them so that we find them a caregiver that they have plenty in common with.
Finding out small details, such as your loved one's hobbies, interests, or even political affiliation, can make the world of difference when it comes to finding a caregiver that they enjoy being around.
We also take into account the amount of time it could potentially take a caregiver to travel to and from a senior's home, as well as the physical requirements of a senior that requires home care in San Mateo.
Every time a new employee joins us here at Always Best Care, they have to take part in a week's training course before they're allowed to begin providing elderly care in San Mateo on behalf of the company.
During the week, they're taught about every key aspect of home care, including how to detect symptoms, carry out a risk assessment, and communicate clearly.
It's also worth noting that all of our staff, irrespective of their experience, are expected to take part in yearly top-up training, where they'll learn everything they need to know about any new technology or equipment making its way into the industry.
For us, and a lot of families in the local community, it comes down to an issue of trust.
Independent providers have very rarely been vetted, let alone have any insurance or training, so it comes down to whether or not you'd feel comfortable leaving your loved one in their care.
The fully flexible nature of our in-home care in San Mateo also makes us an attractive proposition when compared to some of our rivals. Many independent contractors prefer to work more standard working hours, while our caregivers are available 24 hours a day.
We can set up every element of your loved one's in-home care in San Mateo in a matter of days, not weeks.
Our fast track service, which can take up to seven days, is designed to help families who need support as soon as possible.
No corners are cut during this process, and we'll take care of every last detail of arranging your loved one's care so that you don't have to worry about a thing.
A huge role. Nothing can compare to the understanding and love of a family member, so we want you to play as big a part in your loved one's elderly care in San Mateo as possible.
We'll always try to do our part by keeping you constantly updated about every detail of their behavior and health when you're not around.
There are no two ways about it: choosing a home care provider for your loved one is a complicated process. There are many companies offering what seems to the same services at widely varying prices.
To help families make some sense of everything, we invite them in for a sit down chat over a cup of coffee. We'll run through every last detail of our care, including our prices, so you can get a real idea as to whether Always Best Care is the right choice for your family moving forward.
During the chat, no question is off limits about our in-home care in San Mateo, and we'll even come up with a care plan for your loved one thenandthere.
In our line of work, safety is the cornerstone of everything we do. Our sole purpose is to keep your loved one happy and healthy, so you'll have to excuse us for being a little over the top with our safety precautions!
During their initial weeklong training course with the company, any new recruits are taught about how to spot symptoms of physical and mental illness. Along with that, they also learn how to make a property more senior friendly. This includes things such as improving lighting, reducing trip hazards, and adding handles or banisters to rooms that seniors can grip onto.
While they're carrying out elderly care in San Mateo, your loved one's caregiver will also assist with their mobility and suggest any equipment, such as a walker, that could make their mobility safer.
No. Part of our responsibility to the local community is to ensure that it's open to everyone, so we don't ask any of our clients to sign any long term contracts or agree to a minimum number of hours of in-home care in San Mateo.
This way, families are able to choose a caregiver to fit around their lifestyle and can change any arrangement whenever they so please.
Yes. We offer specialized home care in San Mateo for those living with dementia. Our caregivers have been trained how to respond to different behavioral aspects of the condition so that they can provide maximum comfort and reassurance.
Caregiving is a job that encompasses many different roles, as they often have to adapt to the situation around them. To try and give you an idea of how our home care in San Mateo could benefit your loved one, we've come up with a typical list of duties, below:

We know that exceptional service sets us apart from all other home care companies. All of our team members and caregivers receive comprehensive training before being assigned to a care plan. Our standard is that "we only hire care providers we would have care for our own loved ones."

I was in a very dark space when I was looking for a place for my mom and I was referred to you by our social worker at Kaiser and a young lady named Shannon called me and she came to meet with me and my mom and she was with me every step of the way from beginning to end to help find me a place for her. She was very in tune with our budget and the needs that I had for my mom and she did not stop until we found the perfect place this past February. I was crying and shaking and melting down on the day that I had to move my mom and I realized that I couldn't do this on my own. So Shannon came over and she hugged me and she told me you don't have to do this on your own! She gave my mom a bath and we packed her things and she took her on over to the place for me and then I came 2 hours later with my son. I will never forget Shannon and the help that she gave to me and my family. She knew what an emotional wreck I was and how I felt like there were dark clouds all over my house and she brought the light and the peace back to our home through Seniorly.
Angela and her staff has been an important supporters of our community and for our seniors. We highly recommend you contact Angela to see what a difference she can make with your loved one.
The people at ABC senior services did an excellent job of staffing up to assist us in caring for my aunt on a 24/7 schedule. The owner, Angela Encarnacion, is hands-on and worked hard to see that all of our needs were met. She has an excellent support person in Anna who manages staffing. All of my aunt's caregivers were dedicated and responsible people who took their job seriously. Great job. Highly recommended.

Thanks, Julian Levant
Angela and her team have been helping me with my Dad for the last 4 years. As my Dad's needs have changed ABC has come to my rescue. I started out needing someone to help me for a couple hours. We progressed to a point that my Dad needed 24 hr care. Angela provided around the clock care in my Dad's home until his health stabilized. After his stabilization, Angela helped me find a wonderful Board & Care facility where my Dad has been living for two years. Last year, when I found that I could no longer take my Dad on outings by myself, Angela started sending Mark to accompany us on outings. ABC has been there for us every step of the way. I would not think twice about calling them for help and I would recommend them in an instant.
Shirley McElhattan is one of the best in this business! She truly cares about the families she helps and goes out of her way to make the transition into a home as easy as possible. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WORK!!!
-Frank K. Boyd,
You can not get a better working partner than Angela Encarnacion From Best Care Senior Services. Her professionalism and caring attitude made it so smooth to place a new resident in our RCFE home, both for the family and us. It is such a difficult and challenging situation to transfer an elder to a Board and Care but she was the in between person that just made the move a huge success. I am so impressed how detail oriented, punctual and knowledgeable she is. Her experience just facilitates any transaction because she has already thought of what is needed and its already taken care of before the situation arises. Just fabulous! Can't get Best Care Senior Services than what Angela offers!
