I would come down once a month for a week to get her stocked up on food, be a companion, get her out and various tasks. She balked at outside assistance. However with gentle understanding by Phoung the director she consented to have a helper from Always best care one day a week. These hardworking and caring young assistants cleaned house, would run errands, help with bathing, give friendship, do laundry, anything needed. Although she balked at first and would only grudgingly accept help, she did. And we could increase the visits. I knew with confidence that she had eyes on her several times a week and anything untoward would be communicated to me. What relief, calm, reassurance that my mother was watched over with kindness and gentleness. Phoung would work with us as we needed to modify any schedule. Her agency was a lifeline for my mom and her family. I highly recommend this agency.......there is a humanity and respect that permeates the care and it is affordable, which we needed.
